About vision impaired of marin

VIM LOGO

VIM LOGO

Vision Impaired of Marin has been serving adults in Marin County as a 501

( C ) (3) non-profit organization since 1974.

We are Vision Impaired of Marin. What does it mean to be vision impaired? Vision Impairment means that a person’s eyesight cannot be corrected to a ‘normal’ level.

Experiencing vision loss is life changing, and is known to be associated with depression, isolation, social awkwardness, low self esteem, fear, and anxiety. This not only affects a person emotionally, but can affect physically as well.  Finding the support of others who are knowledgeable and living with vision impairment can help with adjusting.

Vision impaired people benefit from support, fellowship, resources, information, visual aids and technology. While your doctor takes care of your eye health, Vision Impaired of Marin helps people experiencing vision loss adjust by offering programs. Our programs make a difference and include zoom support group, talking book club, luncheons, art classes, and enrichment.

We also offer one-on-one discovery sessions to receive valuable resources, information, and an opportunity to ask questions.
